In Turkey the number of hotels ready to accommodate earthquake victims doubled in a day
The number of Turkish hotels to accommodate the earthquake victims has doubled within a day, Tourdom reports.
If in the morning of February 7, there were 220 of them, in the afternoon on February 8, the charity section of the website otelz.com offers 550 hotels in various cities, including 65 – in Istanbul, 53 – in Antalya and 37 – in Ankara.
In total, the number of available rooms per night has increased from 1200 to 2226. In the list there are objects of different levels and sizes: each has from one to 20 rooms available. The numbers change online, as places gradually fill up, but more and more entrepreneurs join the project.
Yesterday the President of Turkey Recep Erdogan also said that hotels mothballed for the winter – 50,000 beds are already ready in Antalya to accommodate the victims of the earthquake.
